Graduate Design Engineer

Working Hours:
40 hours per week

We are recruiting for a Graduate Design Engineer, based at our Head Office in Hyde. The role offers a varied and hands on introduction to product design engineering. You will contribute to both the continuous improvement of existing products and the creation of new designs — taking concepts from prototype through to production.

The successful candidate will have completed a Product Design Degree or Industrial Design Degree and will be given the opportunity to apply and expand these skills. You will contribute directly to Louvolite’s design ethos by creating new and updated components used in the operation of window covering products distributed globally.

You will work across the full development cycle, including conceptual design, prototyping, testing, validation, and final component approval. In house development provides valuable Design for Manufacture (DFM) experience and real world exposure to manufacturing processes. Our on site facilities also offer hands on learning in injection moulding, steel pressing, and polymer extrusion.
