Shutter Technician
Working Hours:
36 hours per week
06:00 - 13:30/13:30 - 21:00, Monday to Thursday
06:00 - 12:00/12:00 - 18:00, Friday
30 minute - paid lunch break
We are recruiting for Shutter Technicians, based at our Head Office in Hyde. As our Shutter Technician, you will be responsible for responsible for manufacturing and assembling a range of uPVC window shutters in accordance with customer specifications and works orders. This role involves operating manufacturing machinery, assembling shutter components, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring all products meet the required standards before despatch.
This role requires the use of Mitre saws and CNC drilling machines.
If successful you will complete a three-month probation period.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
• Manufacture shutters accurately to the dimensions and specifications detailed on works orders.
• Assemble shutter components, including frames, louvers, panels, and complete shutter units.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, including CNC drilling machines, double-headed mitre saws, single-bladed saws, and hand-held tools.
• Carry out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Clean, inspect, package, and prepare finished products for despatch.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
Essential Criteria
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good levels of numeracy and literacy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Experience carrying out assembly work using hand-held tools and equipment.
