Finished Goods Driver
Working Hours:
38.5 hours per week
8am – 5pm, Monday to Thursday.
8am - 3.30pm, Friday
1 hour lunch break
As a Finished Goods Driver, you will join our team of drivers to be responsible for the transportation of stock between our depots, deliveries to customers and collections from suppliers. You will maintain high standards of safety and service and always adhere to the laws and regulations of a professional driver. You will use FLT to load and unload vehicles; secure loads for transport and maintain accurate documentation.
Candidates must have a HGV Category C Class 2 driving licence and CPC qualification. Counterbalance Forklift truck licence would be advantageous
We are recruiting for a Colour Technician, to support our fast paced and innovative Laboratory department.
Main Purpose of the Role
To load and unload vehicles at our various company premises using forklift trucks and other machinery, plus manual lifting where necessary. Deliver to and collect from our company premises, customers and outside suppliers, and other driving duties as required. Driving various company vehicles on a rota basis, and assistance within the Despatch Department when not driving.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
• Adhere to all laws and regulations required of a professional driver at all times.
• Compliance with tachograph and Driver CPC rules.
• Accurate completion of all required documentation; vehicle checks, delivery documents etc.
• Safe and secure loading of vehicles using forklift trucks, other machinery or manual handling as necessary.
• Deliver/collect stock between all company premises.
• Deliver to/collect from customer’s/supplier’s premises.
• Assist in all other despatch duties when not required to drive.
• Your workplace and working area must be kept clean and tidy. You must adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety standards as defined in the Health and Safety Policy.
• Carry out any other duties when required. This may involve working in other departments.
Essential Criteria:
• Good level of physical fitness as role involves manual handling.
• HGV Category C. Class 2 driving licence.
• CPC Qualification.
• Attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria:
• Counterbalance Fork Lift truck licence.
• Experience of using a Pedestrian Electric Truck.
