When did you start working at the company?

In 2010, my journey with Louvolite began as I joined the cutting department at our Crossley Road facility. Little did I realise then that this decision would mark the onset of a profoundly transformative chapter in my career.

Why did you choose the field you are in?

When I graduated with a degree in biotechnology, I never imagined myself delving into the realms of textiles and coatings. Yet, fate had a different plan in store for me as I embarked on my journey with Louvolite. It didn't take long for me to discover a deep fascination for these fields that I had previously overlooked.

At the outset, textiles and coatings seemed worlds apart from the realm of biotechnology that I was accustomed to. However, as I immersed myself in the intricacies of these industries, I found myself captivated by their complexity and potential for innovation.

How far have you come since you started?

As I immersed myself in the tasks of the cutting department, I quickly gained a good understanding of our operations and gleaned invaluable insights into our production processes.

However, fuelled by my curiosity and ambition, I soon found myself yearning to explore new horizons within the company. Drawing upon my experience from my degree in genetics, I approached the manager at the time and enquired about opportunities to contribute to the Laboratory department. I am thankful that my dedication and contributions were acknowledged by numerous individuals within the organisation. Stepping into the Laboratory department felt like embarking on an exciting journey of discovery, where each day brought fresh insights and challenges.
